Conductor NGUYỄN PHÚ SƠN
INTRODUCTION
Nguyễn Phú Sơn has twice graduated with the highest grade in Composition from the Vietnam National Academy of Music and in Orchestra Conducting from Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts in Germany.
During over 6 years of studying in Germany under the guidance of Professor Klaus Arp and later the renowned Swiss conductor Stefan Blunier, he had great opportunities to study and perform as a conductor, pianist, and harpsichordist with various orchestras in Germany and Europe, such as the Deutsche Staatphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, National Theater Mannheim, Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen, Kurpfälzsisches Kammerorchester, Theaterorchester Kaiserslautern, Collegium Musicum Mannheim, Baden-Badener Philharmonie, Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts Orchestra, Plovdiv State Opera in Bulgaria, etc. Besides conducting, he studied harpsichord and historically informed performance under the guidance of the renowned Hungarian harpsichordist Miklos Spanyi.
In Vietnam, Nguyễn Phú Sơn is an active musician in various roles including conductor, harpsichordist, composer, and artistic program organizer.
